About Fall Leaves

What we like about Fall Leaves is how little it tries to be everything — it does crochet diy, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Crochet Patterns shelf. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. It sits at 50 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it. It is mycreativebutterfly's work.

Whatever the project, the finished size and the yarn weight come first; everything else can be adjusted and those two cannot. If you want one use for it, take fall crochet leaves: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

The words on the listing are crochet, crochet pattern, fall decoration and leaf decor, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. We filed it under Crochet Patterns for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The wording people arrive with is crochet coasters, crochet toys, crochet basket, bookmark crochet and crochet bookmarks free patterns, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this pattern

  1. Download the PDF from Creative Fabrica and check the yardage and hook size before you shop — a small gift rarely needs a full skein.
  2. Work the gauge swatch anyway on anything that has to fit, like a hat or a bracelet; on a stuffed toy you can skip it.
  3. Stuff toys firmer than feels right and close the seam with a ladder stitch — a gift gets squeezed, and loose stuffing shows within a week.
  4. Make the first one a week before you need it. The second one is always the one you give away.
