New here? See what a Li-Lu figure actually is — handmade, finished, ready to gift.

About

Hi, I’m the maker behind Li-Lu.

I hand-finish soft crochet figures in the UK — a fluffy yarn body, wired ears that hold their shape, laced boots, and a small heart or bag stitched into one paw. Around 200 designs so far, in colours from dusty pink to sage green, and no two batches are ever quite identical.

Li-Lu started as a way to sell finished pieces directly, without a stall or a middleman — just a figure, boxed and posted, ready to sit on a shelf the day it arrives.

What You’ll Find Here

Li-Lu writes about picking, gifting and styling handmade figures: which colour suits which room, how to choose between the heart and the bag detail, and where a soft, slightly odd object actually belongs on a shelf or a desk. This isn’t a pattern site — nothing here is a tutorial, and there’s nothing to crochet yourself.

How I Decide What to Publish

Every guide is written around a real figure I’ve made and photographed myself, not a stock image. If a page recommends a colour or a size for a specific spot — a nursery shelf, an office desk — that’s based on how the piece actually looks there, not a guess.

How This Site Pays for Itself

Li-Lu sells its own handmade figures directly — that’s the whole model. There’s no pattern, kit, or third-party product being pushed here; the shop is the product.

My Mission

A handmade gift should look like someone chose it, not like they panicked in a shop on the way over. That’s what every figure here is made for.
